50 ml Semi skimmed milk
1 Large eggs
100 gr Cheddar cheese
300 gr Broccoli
1 pinch Ground black pepper

Cheesy Brown Rice Casserole with Broccoli

Preheat your oven to 180  °C. Put rice into a pot with ratio of 1:2 (1 cup of rice, 2 of water). Bring to the boil, reduce the heat to minimum and cook for 10 min.

Meanwhile finely chop yellow onion. Beat egg with milk and add salt and pepper to the mixture.

Shred cheddar cheese using  larger side of a box grater.

When the rice is half-cooked, sift it to get rid of excess water. In a large bowl combine rice, onion, cheese and egg-milk mixture.

Cover oven pan with a piece of parchment and put prepared cheesy mix into this spreading evenly with a spatula. Press broccoli florets into the rice in desirable pattern.

Put into the oven and bake for 30 min at 180 °C (360 °F).
